Dream League Soccer Review

Dream League Soccer is basically about creating your dream football (soccer) team, you start the game by being the manager of a team called Dream Fc, which will have random players within the squad. There are 4 divisions and as you can probably guess you start of in the fourth and your aim is to take your club to the Elite Division as well as completing your season objectives and be the best team on the planet.

The game has a few features but the main feature of course is the management feature where you start of with a basic team and build your own team with the use of coins. Coins can be earned by winning games and watching advertisement videos(30 coins at a time) of course you can purchase coins for real time money but whats the fun in that right? coins are not only spent on building your perfect team but as well purchasing new stadiums and training your players. You can train individual players or the entire team either way I feel that spending 30-50 coins on training seems to be pointless seeing as gaining coins can be a real kick in the balls at time, obviously because they want you to purchase the coins so that they make profit. You can also use coins to purchase new kits for your team, but luckily changing the name of team requires no coins which is good for when you may come across a better team name then you previously use.

The controls are pretty simple for the game, you have your virtual joystick which you use to control your players, as well as three buttons which are used to pass, shoot and tackle so if you feel you don't have many brian cells don't panic I don't either and I managed to use it.  Taking penalties and free kicks are quite easy to understand it's just you need a lot of practise to get the ball in the back of the net.

The passing within the game is not the greatest because if you don't put enough power on the ball then it just basically rolls out infront of the player who kicked the ball just sitting there waiting for the opposition to gain possession. The long pass system impresses me as the ball does actually go to player you are aiming for and not out the stadium for it to land on some poor fella walking the streets or for the  locals to steal. Shooting in the game seems to be strange at times, because you can sometimes make unbelievable goals and other times your players shoot like they are blindfolded but at times the goal keeper might as well be Casper because all they seem to do is stand there a look pretty.

The tackling is kinda mediocre you can easily get the ball of the opposition but you do have to be careful when slide tackling because who ever developed the tackling clearly had no expertise on physics because when you go in for a slide tackle one of two things may happen, you either continue sliding and go straight through ball and break the opposing players legs like a Christmas cracker or you get the ball but your player continues to slide like he covered in some sort of lubricant.

Now don't even get me started on how bad the AI players are, I don't think I've played a game where I have had less than 70% possession, sometimes it is like playing against a bunch of statues and the only time they ever score is when you make a mistake in your area or when your busy watch television and the worst thing is you cant even change the difficulty. Neither the less I still find it enjoyable just running around with Messi scoring goals, although the AI has probably missed more open nets than I've had chicken nuggets and trust me thats a lot.

The camera views for Dream League Soccer are very good in my opinion you can see what you need to see and it really makes the game more enjoyable, you can change to different camera views to suit your own personal needs. The graphics on the game seems to be pretty good but I will say one thing none of the players really look like anything they do in real life which is sort of a disappointment but what do you expect from a free downloadable game?.  A good feature I will mention is that you can easily save replays of your goals and you can even upload them to youtube or email them to yourself so that you could make a video montage of goals or fails to show people on the internet.

Dream League Soccer also has an online multiplayer option where you can take the team you have built on the offline management and take them online to play against people all over the world but you do need a wifi connection, but I find playing online very enjoyable and a lot better than the offline but I only recommend playing online once you have fully built your team as you will get slaughtered.

Overall I feel that Dream League Soccer is good download for when you sat waiting around for the bus or the wench to make you a sandwich but I would not recommend spending money on purchasing coins as I feel it's really not worth the money as you can just get coins by watching advertisement videos and winning matches. With the disappointing AI and tackling I give Dream League Soccer a overall rating of 5/10

5/10

  2. Dream League Soccer is a Awesome game but.... The game is good its just that when ever u finish the game i have nothing else to do so im saying that First Touch should make more divisions but with even harder teams and even add countries and also do multiplayer and let the people pick how long they want to do their match.

  3. Wow, cool post. I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real hard work to make a great article... but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though. https://dabong.net/tiet-lo-7-website-truc-tiep-bong-da-tot-nhat-hien-nay-tai-viet-nam-t38319.html
